But not all property owners have full control over their data. Å Insite was brought in to provide energy data for automated tenant billing in a commercial building. This error artificially inflated energy usage, making it look like tenants were consuming far more electricity than they actually were. As a result, the real estate company had been unknowingly overbilling its tenants, fully trusting that the data was correct. Once the issue was identified, the fix was simple – adjust the configuration.
